ASUS has just added a new 24-inch Full HD gaming monitor ‘VG245Q’ to its range. The Asus VG245Q will likely fall within most gamers’ budgets, but it boasts a great array of specs, not the least of which is a HD resolution and ASUS’s GamePlus hotkey, as well as AMD Free-SYNC tech.

The VG245Q display uses a 24-inch TN panel with 1920 by 1080 resolution, and the general specs are typical for budget devices: a 1 ms response time (grey-to-grey), 250 nits brightness, 170 degree/160 degree viewing angles and so on. Of course, at this price you aren’t getting the greatest LCD panel in the world, but ASUS manage to squeeze in a couple greaties like headphone jack and a built-in speakers — especially important if you are plugging in a console to this monitor over HDMI.

The VG245Q will also come with an adjustable, VESA-compatible stand, meaning it offers swivel, pivot, tilt and height adjustment. The model is also flicker-free along with a 1ms response time and trace-free tech. ASUS is marketing this display as a value gaming monitor and for that purpose they have integrated AMD FreeSync technology.
