Despite the fact that not precisely mentioned as lots, wireless charging is slowly starting to be a common feature in excessive-end smartphones (unless you ask OnePlus). Apple’s addition of the functionality in its today’s iPhones is nearly a seal of popularity of the technology. Wired-free chargers, however, have their drawbacks, mainly in the restrained positions you may charge a smartphone. Eschewing a conventional horizontal or even willing aircraft, Legrand’s new Radiant wall plate helps you to charge your Qi-compatible smartphone at the same time as hanging from a wall.

Legrand Radiant Wall Outlet Plate Specs

Instantly provides a clutter-free space to charge your phone.
3.1A to power any cell phone, tablet or USB device.
Replaces any existing single gang outlet for easy installation.
Perfect for new construction or remodel; no need for special wiring.
Qi certified, assuring a safe, reliable wireless charging experience.
Includes tamper resistant duplex receptacle with a USB port
The radiant collection offers a consistent look across all switches, dimmers, outlets, and home automation controls

Even though the pics display the Radiant wireless Charger installed in what seems like a two-gang field, the duplex receptacle goes in a single-gang box at the same time as the Qi charge just sits flush towards your wall. The device replaces a standard, single outlet.

Based on the 3.1A and assuming at least 5V pass through, this should provide up to 15W of power. iPhone 8/8 Plus and X top out at 7.5W, but Android devices should be able to accept more.

The Radiant Wireless Charger uses a clear plastic support piece in front to keep your iPhone from falling. While this can be a bit of a hassle with the gesture-based iPhone X, using Hey Siri to open apps is a good workaround.

Legrand Radiant Wall Outlet Plate Price

The wall plate is available in White, Ivory, Light Almond, and Black at select retailers across the United States, including Lowe’s and Fry’s Electronics, for around $65 to $70, but prices vary. It’s also available in Canada.
